We are happy to announce that the Laines system, designed by Workstories in collaboration with Jones & Partners, has won the prestigious Mix Awards 2024 in the category of Product of the Year – Technology & Accessories. We are incredibly proud that our Ochno USB-C socket plays a small role in this innovative and award-winning design.

The Laines system, part of Workstories’ ATELIER Collection, is celebrated for its highly adaptable modular system that seamlessly integrates technology, storage, and privacy into both new and existing desks. At the heart of this system is a central zig-zag channel that serves as a hub for USB-C connectors. This creative, new, and very design-forward use of our Ochno sockets provides both power and the ability to share users’ device screens on external presentation monitors.

Our Ochno sockets, available in aluminum, black, copper, and brass, blend seamlessly with the sophisticated aesthetics of the Laines system. This channel forms the foundation for incorporating various accessories, from lamps and stationary storage to extendable mains power and acoustic screens.

Jones & Partners, inspired by the vibrant Brighton Laines, designed the Laines system to encourage productivity through configurable surfaces that can be accessorized to create personalized and efficient work environments. The integrated technology features, powered by our Ochno USB-C socket, enable users to stay connected, charge their devices, share content seamlessly, and switch presenters effortlessly.

This remarkable achievement underscores the power of collaboration and innovative design. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Workstories and Jones & Partners for their visionary work and are honored to be a part of their success.
