Lead Hardware Design Engineer
Ochno AB is growing, and we are looking for you, the person to lead the hardware engineering part of our platform. You have a genuine interest in technology and innovation and is good at hardware development. You enjoy working in a team as well as taking your own initiative independently.
In this key position you will have the responsibility for the entire hardware process from specifying hardware requirements and collaborate with international suppliers to developing and defining the architecture for the embedded software. As the team expands you will be able to lead your own team of talented engineers, pushing the limits for the ways we use technology in the future.
You will work close both with both embedded software team and and team developing our cloud service Ochno Operated which provides all cloud services running Ochno.
Ochno’s hardware solutions are all advanced high-speed data and signal management and switching of video and USB communication.
Key work tasks are:
- Design of Ochno's future PCBAs
- Hands-on lab work during the design and debugging process
- Drive the collaboration with manufactoring partners and Ochno's QA team to ensure high-quality final products
- Manage the collaboration with regulatory partner and other specialized external test lab
- Facilitate good collaboration with key IC companies to ensure that Ochno's recieves the best support and access to the latest technologies
- Continously optimize the design and component selection to ensure optional price / performance
Qualifications:
To be successful in the role of Lead Hardware Designer, we would like you to match the following:
- You have worked for 5 years with hardware development and electronics construction.
- Proven experience of high-speed PCB design and EMC/EMI optimization
- Appreciate hands-on lab work for development and testing.
- You are fluent in English and speech and writing, as this is a requirement in contact with customers and colleagues.
- That you live within commuting range of Västerås in Sweden or able to easily move there.
Not mandatory but meritorious:
- Experience working with Altium Designer
- Experience in high-speed USB, DisplayPort and HDMI design and standards
- AC/DC and DC/DC design and optimizations
- Good contacts with IC companies like Parade, Infineon and Synaptics
- Also skilled in embedded software development
